The Boston City Council will finally start discussing the city’s 2024 Olympics bid later this month, Robin and I learned from Councillors Michelle Wu and Tito Jackson on Twitter earlier today.
The first step will be a Rules Committee meeting on January 29 to create a subcommittee to focus on the Olympics. That meeting will be open to the public, but as it is a Rules Committee meeting, only Councillors are able to speak. We will keep you posted on the exact time for the meeting.
Once the Subcommittee gets established, hearings on the bid should follow soon after. As soon as we know those dates, we’ll post them here as well.
